Sections 9.2-9.152 of this Chapter define the meaning of words used in this District Plan unless the context requires otherwise. Any words included under this section shall have the meaning as defined here throughout this Plan unless specifically stated otherwise in the text of the District Plan. Where the definition of a word is tagged with an asterisk (*) it is identified as being from the Resource Management Act 1991. The definition is repeated here to assist readers. In the case of an inconsistency, the statutory definition prevails. Any term or expression not defined in this District Plan but which is defined by the Resource Management Act shall have the meaning given to it by the Resource Management Act. For words not defined in this Chapter or the Resource Management Act, meaning can be taken from The New Zealand Oxford Dictionary (2005).
